Jenni, Phil, and their children Miller, Eddison, Tabitha, and Maggie the dog are now living in their forever home in Omokoroa, Tauranga. This stunning two-storey home comes complete with water views, multiple outdoor living spaces and a kitchen that will make non-cooks want to take up cooking as a hobby.

After looking at existing homes for a year, they couldn’t find the right home so decided to purchase a section and design & build their new home from scratch with Signature Homes Bay of Plenty and Coromandel’s award winning team.

The Carter household is buzzing with life! With various ages to cater for. Miller is their oldest, moving into his teenage years, and Eddison 5 and Tabitha 2. Their brief to Signature Homes was space for all and a house that can grow with us.

The home’s design needed to take full advantage of the views, with the ocean visable in the kitchen, dining and main living spaces.

The must-haves for Jenni and Phil's new build were multiple living spaces for adults and children, a playroom close to main living areas, decent sized bedrooms, room for a pool, and a beautiful looking exterior.

Jenni and Phil had previously designed a home for an old section they owned and wanted to use this design as a starting point for the section in Omokoroa. Their New Home Consultant Jason Cook, worked with the Cater's and Signature Homes design team to tweak the existing design to make it work for the new section.

"It took a few go's to get it right, but the result is perfect" Says Jenni.

Jenni and Phil explained how much they love the quality of a Signature Homes home build. And after looking at various Showhomes throughout the region and meeting with their New Home Consultant, who outlined the benefits of building with Signature, they were so impressed it was an easy choice to sign up with Signature Homes Bay of Plenty and Coromandel.

“We liked all of the building guarantees that were part of the package, and the fact that we had an entire team by our side throughout the whole process,” says Phil. ”“Our New Homw Consultant was a real standout for us. He was amazing! It felt like we had been friends forever. He understood our vision and how it could be achieved within the boundaries of our section. We couldn’t have asked for a better building team, and in fact, we became friends with them! We got so much more than a new home. We built new friendships, too,” explains Jenni.

Jenni and Phil wanted something unique, and as you drive down their street, it’s without a doubt their home has serious street appeal. The exterior cladding is a mix of Abodo timber cladding and Celcrete, which helps to create dimension to the exterior.

The Carters wanted to achieve a coastal luxury style and worked with the Signature Homes interior design team to create the look. The roof, walls and doors are painted the same colour so that there was no definition. The home features a pop of colour in shades of pink and green in the laundry, bathroom and front door.
