The MATES program aims to foster a healthy and positive work environment in the building and construction industry. The program not only helps workers identify and manage mental health issues but also builds and strengthens workplace communities. This community-based approach has a far-reaching impact beyond the workplace and into our everyday lives.

MATES engage with workers through on-site training and provide support to individuals identified as at risk through case management. The program's Field Officers are trained in suicide intervention skills and have years of experience in the industry, which allows them to connect with workers easily.
Our construction industry is losing nearly one person every week to suicide. 98% of those we lose are our men.

Thanks to the program, our franchises have been accredited, and our people have been able to support and provide an environment that fosters positive wellbeing.
